Business and Professional Women’s Foundation, the first foundation to focus its resources on working women, is Joining Forces for Women Veterans across the country to provide support and resources to women veterans and their families as they return to their civilian lives, including

providing mentorships to 10,000 women vets and military spouses by the end of 2012.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA)

 IAVA is the nation’s first and largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. On the ground, IAVA has been working with corporate partners on the Combat to Career campaign to open doors and find job opportunities for new veterans

nationwide.

Still Serving Veterans

 Still Serving Veterans is a not-for-profit organization based in Huntsville, Alabama, that provides veterans and their families support in recovery, rehabilitation, reintegration into civilian life and jobs, and VA benefits maximization.

AMVETS

AMVETS provides support for veterans and the active military in procuring their earned entitlements, as well as community service and legislative reform that enhances the quality of life for this nation’s citizens and veterans alike.

Hire Heroes USA

Hire Heroes USA’s (HHUSA) mission is to offer transition assistance, job search assistance, and job placement services to those who have honorably served in the US military – and to their spouses – in order to reduce veteran unemployment.

Military to Medicine

Military to Medicine is a national, non-profit military service organization of Inova Health System. It provides online healthcare training that leads to entry-level healthcare careers. For individuals who have healthcare work experience, Military to Medicine provides career opportunity assistance.

Student Veterans of America

Student Veterans for America provides peer-to-peer college campus networks for veterans.  The group coordinates campus activities, provides pre-professional networking, and generally provides a touchstone for student veterans in higher education to ultimately ensure every veteran is successful after their service.

USO

As a nonprofit, non-political organization, the USO is now, and always will be, about our troops. The USO provides career support to wounded warriors and their families through the creation of two new facilities at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and a new medical campus at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Veterans Green Jobs provides exemplary green jobs education and career development opportunities for military veterans, empowering and supporting them to lead America’s transition to energy independence, ecological restoration, community renewal, and economic prosperity.
