BOBBY KOTICK

Founder & Co-Chairman, The Call of Duty Endowment

Bobby Kotick is the founder and co-chairman of The Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit, public benefit corporation that seeks to help organizations that provide job placement and training services for veterans.   In 2009, Bobby founded The Call of Duty Endowment after seeing the need for an organization that could aid veterans in a real and impactful way, by ensuring there will be jobs for them to come home to after military service.

The Call of Duty Endowment focuses its resources on assisting organizations that provide job placement and training to veterans, as well as engaging the media and public forums to raise awareness of the issue. To help guide the organization, Mr. Kotick has recruited an advisory board composed of respected veterans representing the various service branches, most recently appointing General James L. Jones USMC (ret.), former U.S. National Security Advisor, as co-chairman.

Since 2009, The Call of Duty Endowment has provided more than $1.5 million in grants and scholarships to veterans’ organizations and colleges throughout the United States to help servicemen and women transition to civilian careers after active duty. These gifts have contributed to more than 700 veteran jobs, provided job training services to more than 2,500 veterans, and funded more than 30 veterans’ college scholarships. On Veterans Day 2011, Activision Publishing committed an additional $3 million donation to the Call of Duty Endowment to its veterans’ employment campaign.

Mr. Kotick has been a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Activision, Inc. since February 1991 until July 2008, when he became Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard in connection with the combination of Activision and Vivendi Games.

Mr. Kotick is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Coca-Cola Company, and a member of the Board of Trustees for The Center for Early Education.  Additionally, he is Chairman of the Committee of Trustees at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Tony Hawk Foundation.
